A Short Story
I grew up in a small town north of Toronto, known as Cottage Country. Spent the majority of the summers boating up the Trent Severn Waterway with my grandparents, playing golf in the Pepsi Future Masters Tour, working at the local fresh produce market and serving at a lakeside resort. There was a part of me that knew I’d make my way out to the Wild West though! After college I did just that; packed my bags and moved to Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is where I met my husband and pursued a successful Oil & Gas career in Laboratory Project Management for 15 years.
In 2013, it was time to find a place we both could call home and start a family. Cochrane stole our hearts upon first glance. The small town vibes drew us in sparking those memories of our childhoods. With the proximity to the mountains and the airport for us to continue our employment up north, this truly wasn’t a hard decision. We found our dream house, got married, had two beautiful children and are proud to call the town of Cochrane home.
When the world threw us all a loop a few years back, it gave us the opportunity to reassess our lives, goals and aspirations. I lost my mom to a brief battle with stage IV pancreatic cancer during this and that made us realize the short time we are given on this earth and life can change quickly. Real estate was a path that had intrigued me. We were actively growing our own portfolio with investment properties both in Canada and south of the border, so taking the leap in obtaining my license was a natural fit.
It has brought me such inner joy and will be forever grateful for this opportunity to be a present mom, a supportive wife and a successful businesswoman.
Pairing my experience obtained in hospitality, the corporate world, along with my own real estate history enables me to provide my clients a level of customer service that goes beyond that of a sales transaction.
To me it is never about the sale or being a top producer. It is about meeting my clients where they are at in their own real estate journey, easing their minds with the largest financial purchase they’ll make and guiding them to a decision that improves their quality of life.
